Introducing Talk of the Table – a bold collection of hand-painted ceramic plates that brings attitude to the art of dining. Lovingly handcrafted in Spain by skilled artisans, each piece blends traditional ceramic techniques with contemporary character and a sharp sense of humour.
Designed for those who like their tableware to speak volumes, these unique plates are more than functional – they’re expressive, artful statements that bring personality to every setting.
Mix and match your favourite plate duos or style them solo – either way, they’re guaranteed to spark a smile, stir conversation, and serve up the last (cheeky) word at the table.
Crafted from 100% ceramic, with a white clay base and hand painted with lead-free glazes and natural pigments. Certified food-safe, meeting even the most rigorous standards (including California Prop 65).
Every plate is perfectly imperfect, celebrating the marks, textures, and subtle variations that come from true craftsmanship. No two pieces are ever alike — and that’s just how we like it. Please note that white clay ceramics may develop fine surface lines over time, a natural process which is part of their charm.
Our Spanish ceramic plates are microwave and dishwasher safe. However, this can expose them to extreme temperature changes, which may speed up the natural aging process of your pieces. We consider this part of their artisanal charm.
To help keep their appearance longer, we recommend hand washing with gentle soap and drying on the dish rack. Please read our Care Guide for best practices in cleaning, storing, and loving your new heirloom.

THE JOURNEY OF CERAMICS
1.
Our journey begins in La Rambla, a small Spanish town in the region of Córdoba, recognised for its long-standing ceramics tradition.
Raw clay is sourced locally and prepared according to time-honoured techniques. The clay is pressed into traditional moulds and wheel-thrown, the first step in shaping each piece with care and consistency.
2.
Once shaped, the pieces are left to dry slowly outside, in the Mediterranean sun. It’s a slow process, which ensures the quality of every piece.
3.
After drying, the ceramics undergo their first firing in the kiln, transforming them into what’s called bizcocho – the ceramic base ready for glazing and decoration.
Glazing is done by covering each piece into food-safe glaze, creating the canvas for the final design. This step adds durability and that soft, subtle sheen.

4.
Each plate is then painted by hand by a team of skilled artisans using lead-free paints, natural pigments and a variety of brushes.
Every design is freehand, making each piece a unique expression of traditional craft with the quirky twist of our playful design.
5.
Next, our brand logo is applied manually on the back of each plate with a personalised stamp, completing a lengthy but rewarding process.
6.
Finally, all plates are given another layer of glaze and they must go through a second firing in the kiln at a high temperature. This will give the pieces their lasting quality and a beautiful shine to highlight their colourful design.
